These cigarettes are fantastic, I used to smoke these on a regular basis. Many people categorise the red packet as strong or harsh without even trying them. The truth is that they are but they are very smooth as the same time so you can't really taste anything strong. This also depends on the type of red Malboro you smoke, this review is based on the UK sold cigarettes. The prices change a lot and that's a trend with all tobacco today. If you like Benson and hedges tobacco you will enjoy these. There are very premium quality cigarettes. They burn at a decent speed whilst smoking and unlike some cigarettes don't burn fast or last too long to give you a headache.
You might think just because these are a premium cigarette they taste better...they don't. You can still taste the chemicals in these cigarettes and to be honest they make me feel sick, one to definitely avoid. Only people with no sense of taste would smoke these horrible, brand slave cigarettes.
i started smoking silk cut purple when i was a teenager, and they were alright, but tasted badly of plastic from the filter, so i switched to other brands and kept experimenting with things like benson and hedges until if ound marlboro reds, the sweet tasting perfect cigi! nothing says mmmmmmmmm yea like marlboro reds, nice and strong, not to harsh and a nice taste. every now and then when im stuck for gettin them i go for other brands like john player blue, which arent bad but they smell more and just dont cut it! marlboro lights are terrible, bad taste and they just arent strong enough! im happy to drive the extra 2 miles to the nearest shop that has my reds, caus man do they help me with my day! are they bad for me? yea, but hell its my life, and id like to live a short happy rather than a long boring one. its my choice, and i choose marlboro reds all the way.
These were the first cigarettes I ever started smoking when I was a teenager. Obviously now I regret ever starting smoking in the first place, but hey you can not change the past. I was at boarding school at the time and your only option was to smoke Marlboro Red or else you were castigated by the other student smokers.
As I knew no different I automatically assumed that all cigarettes tasted the same and they were what I became used to.
Move on a few years and when no longer supported by my mum and dad and I had to pay for my own cigarettes, I swiftly moved to a cheaper brand.
I never realised how strong Marlboro cigarettes really were and what a unique aroma and flavour they had to other brands.
When I feel like treating myself I buy a packet of Marlboro, the advantages to this is, I can not find many social smokers in my circle who like them so therefore they last a lot longer.
They have a very different taste to other brands and there is an after taste, the smoke also has a very distinct odour to other brands, but not offensive.
They would be my cigarette of choice.
I could literally taste the chemicals I was inhaling in this cigarette. I bought a pack because of all the hype. I thought it was going to be some holy grail cigarette, but after two or three, I honestly hated them. The aftertaste is terrible, the best way to describe it is cancerous. The strength was nothing to scream about, price was okay. I would never smoke these again, even if I had no other options of cigarettes. They're my least favorite out of all the brands I've smoked. They gave me a terrible cough (I'm not a heavy smoker, 2 to 3 cigarettes a day) and I don't know why any one would choose to buy these.
Obviously cigarettes aren't great for you in more ways than you know. I have smoked for around 4 years, and I'm guessing that if you are reading this you either smoke, or are thinking about smoking. If the latter, then don't bother, because every smoker I know wishes he hadn't started.
Marlboro Reds are one of my favourite types of cigarette. I must admit that I flitter between brands, changing from rollies to straights very frequently. Sometimes I go through phases, and often I buy these cigarettes. They are the strongest form of Marlboro cigarettes you can buy, and one of the stronger of all cigarettes. They give a bigger kick than a usual light, which differs for people with different tastes. For me, I love the extra taste and harshness at the back of the throat that these produce.
The problem with these cigarettes are that they cut your throat (very thinly) in order to give you the kick. This is probably the only thing that puts me off from buying them.
The pack itself is very similarly designed to the lights version. I think you can only buy 20 packs, as opposed to lights where you can buy 10 packs as well. The 20 packs are from between £5.80 to £6.20, which is definitely expensive, which is one of those things you sign up for when you start smoking. If you are abroad and manage to find the duty free, then I recommend that you buy cigarettes in bulk due to the outrageous tax in england.
So in summary, Marlboro reds are one of the stronger cigarettes you can buy. If you are a first time smoker, I recommend either a 'lights' brand or a 'blue' one due to the harshness.
My advise is don't start smoking at all, but these are definitely a good brand which have over time become one of my favourites. In England, they have become one of the bestsellers, and are a worldwide known brand of cigarette.
Marlboro Reds are one of my favorites but, I don't like taste of the European or Chinese cigarettes. I also don't like the high price of American Cigarettes until I found them duty free at TobaccoTrain.com
Ive been a smoker for 5 years and i have to warn you that smoking is harmfull and extremely addictive.
i have been smoking Marlboro Red for about 2 years overall i would say that marlboro has a strong taste so if you have just started smoking then they are not the cigarette for you.
I think that they have a good taste and are a well known brand to smoke, the taste is slightly dry but has a good kick for a full flavour cigarette, they have the tar/nicotine,carbon monoxide levels pretty much the same as normal marlboro's but i think that the ''reds'' have a certain aroma that i think makes them better that the origionals.
i used to smoke mayfair menthols but now they do not satisfy my cravings and trying them now i can hardly taste them.
so if you want to move onto a stronger, good tasting cigarette then i recomend marlboro reds.
First of all, I'd just like to say one thing. Smoking is bad. It's as addictive heroine-flavoured scratch cards and just as expensive, plus it makes you smell like a walking chimney. But after all, life is too short to worry about such things, and I personally love the idea of killing myself with government-taxed goods. Please don't ask why.
When I started smoking, probably about a year ago now, I have to admit that I did throw myself in the deep end. The first pack I ever bought was a pack of Marlboro Red's, which any experienced smoker will tell you are the equivalent of smoking asphalt shavings. However, this did have the advantage of training my lungs to handle pretty much anything, so I can smoke even the harshest brands without suffering a coughing fit.
Marlboro Red's are actually very well made cigarettes, despite what you may have heard about glass fibres in filters. They are made from high quality paper and filters, along with a generous amount of high-end tobacco, which is tightly packed but enough so to restrict air flow through the cigarette, and smoulders slowly when light. They can be bought in a rather stylish packet, either tens or twenties, which is well constructed enough not to be crushed flat in your pocket. Unfortunately, this is where we hit the problem. Marlboro's aren't exactly chemical, just very harsh, and after a few you often find your voice talking on the same timbre as a cement mixer. They can also make you very light-headed, and sometimes even nauseous, although the sensation quickly passes.
Although Marlboro Reds are a very well made brand of cigarette they are just too strong, and at nearly £6 a twenty pack is a lot of money just to resurface you're lungs. Nowadays I smoke much smoother brands, such as Richmond King Size, which are a lot cheaper and much more enjoyable. Of course if someone offers me one I'll still accept, but I have no intention of buying my own anytime soon.
Remember, smoking is bad, m'kay?
not the first cig i have ever tryed but the best by far its the only thing i will smoke unless i am desperate but even than i try to hold out for a red i love them
These ciggies are the best. I actually started smoking L&M light but after tasting these not that much later I kinda got stuck with it. Regular L&M gives me headaches even after smoking one (No, it's not the booze, lol) The amount of nicotine is just about how I want it to be and still smokes smoothly enough. Alot of people say this tastes the same as the brand 'Next' but nothing could be further from the truth. Next tastes nothing like this, Next actually tastes like shit :P. But what do you expect with cheap cigarettes, that's why these ones are as expensive as they are I guess.
They have it in rolling tabacco aswel but the countries they sell it is quite limited. I've seen it in France, but not in like Spain, UK, Belgium, Japan,.. or any other country I've been to. So if you want a good cigarette, smoke these.
reds are great but i like the classic blends better. even though i smoke whatever i get, i'd choose marlboro over anything. i think camels and newports are just as good but they're tooooo light, they're just good in different ways.
Well these babys are my life.......the first and last cigs i will try. amazing wooooof the intensity that i get is hardcore man. there true american cigs and i love em!!!
I smoke Marlboro lights, I have been smoking for over 15 years, I have found, for about 3 years now, the quality has gone down the tubes! I keep finding junk in them, those little black pieces of crap burn a foul stench, and often cause a liquid #2 within 10-15 minutes after smoking it. There's something terribly wrong with this company, or maybe some anti-smokers have infiltrated the work force and are sabotaging the tobacco! Is it just the Smokes in California? I can't be the only one who can see and taste this stuff!
