“ Brand: Mattel / Type: Engines „
My daughter became a big Thomas fan over the summer and before we went to Thomas Land I bought her this little engine in Asda for £5.
Thomas is part of the Fisher Price take and play range which consists of various play sets, tracks and engines.
Thomas is recommended for ages 3 and over and he needs 3 button cell batteries which are included.
We have two of these talking engines we also have Percy.
Like the non talking engines in the range Thomas is made from die cast metal. He is a lovely bright blue in colour with blue wheels and a red surround. The front of Thomas also has a little light which illuminates when the button is pressed.
There is a little button on the back of Thomas engine that when pressed makes Thomas say various phrases such as 'Hello my name is Thomas' and my daughters favourite 'Bust my buffers' the engine also makes 'toot toot' and chugging noises.
The front and back of these take and play engines have a little magnet which allows them to attach to other engines in the range. The magnets are very strong and my daughter likes to line up her various engines and pull them along it takes quite a bit of force to pull these engines apart.
I would recommend this engine, as Thomas is the main character it is nice to have an engine that makes noises and talks. The quality of these engines is also very good they are robust and hard wearing my daughter has been rough at times and Thomas still looks good as new.
